Community Centres are closed until further notice due to the Covid-19
Summer Camp COVID-19
To our summer camp families,
COVID-19 has certainly made such an
impact on our daily routines and lives. The health and safety of your family
remains a top priority as always to all of us at the North Woodside Community Centre.
As our Public Health experts begin to
share plans for the cautious re-opening of our province, it has become
increasingly apparent that organizations will need to practice physical
distancing and limit the size of gatherings throughout the summer and into the
fall. Due to these restrictions, we must cancel our 2020 summer camp program.
This decision is a difficult one. We
are committed to a high standard of care and are disappointed we won't see you
and your children this summer.
Please let your children know that we will miss
them this summer and we can’t wait to see them in 2021 for a summer filled with
many fun outings, games and activities.
We value all our clients and participants of
the Centre. We hope that you are staying safe and well. We know that this is a trying time for so
many mentally, socially and financially. Staff of the Centre are also staying home. The Centre Manager
is working from home and the Centre to stay on top of items so that we are ready to serve you
when this pandemic is over.
We look forward to
seeing everyone when this crisis is over. Be safe, be kind, and stay connected
to your friends, family and those who need your support.
A special shout out to to the Dartmouth Community Health Board for approving the grant in the amount of $3175.00 to assist with the initial start up costs for our new Carpet Bowling program!!
We appreciate their continued support of the Centre. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!
